About Kathleen

I lost the business.
Then I rebuilt it.

Licensed massage therapist, esthetician, and Reiki master. I learned marketing because my spa closed and there was nobody left to do it for me — and now I do it for other solo practitioners.

The day spa I co-owned closed

I had spent years building it. Treatment rooms, a team, a client list, a name people in town knew. In 2020 it ended, and I went from co-owner of a spa to one person with a license and no business to walk into.

What I had left was a table and a phone that wasn’t ringing. Nobody was going to market me. There was no front desk, no marketing budget, no partner splitting the load. If I wanted clients, I had to go find them.

So I learned all of it myself

Web design. SEO. Google Business Profile. Email. Social. I taught myself every piece of it in the evenings, badly at first, while doing massage and facials during the day to keep the lights on. Not because marketing interested me — because it was the only thing standing between me and starting over again.

“I didn’t learn this to become a marketer. I learned it because my business depended on it.”

Along the way I noticed something about the people offering to help. Most marketing agencies have never given a massage, performed a facial, or sat with a client through a Reiki session. They don’t know what a one-person practice actually costs you — the time, the energy, the way trust gets built one appointment at a time and lost in a single bad week.

Built by someone who’s been on both sides

Blush & Grow exists because I wanted to be the resource I didn’t have in 2020 — someone who understands this industry from the inside, explains what they’re doing in plain language, and shows you results you can actually see.

I still run my own practice, Massage by Kath, inside Ricci’s Spa in Newtown, CT. Every strategy I build for a client is something I’ve already tested on my own business. I’m not guessing what works for solo wellness and beauty pros. I’m living it.

What you can expect

No Mystery Pricing

Every service has a flat, published price. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for and exactly what you get back.

Plain Language, Always

No jargon, no vague reports. I explain what I’m doing and why, in terms that make sense — because it’s your business and you should understand it.

Tested on My Own Practice

I don’t recommend anything I haven’t run at Massage by Kath first. If it doesn’t work for a real solo practice, it doesn’t make it into your strategy.

The person behind Blush & Grow

When I’m not building marketing systems or working with clients at Ricci’s Spa, you’ll find me with my Goldendoodle, Ginger, out at my property in Waymart, PA, or deep in astrology and tarot. Good energy and good business go hand in hand, and I bring the same intentionality to both.

Tell me what you have now and where clients are looking for you and not finding you. I’ll tell you which build fits and what it costs — before you commit to anything.
